Leading by example with prayer time

Started making family prayer time non-negotiable before dinner and at bedtime about 6 months ago. My kids used to roll their eyes but now my 6 year old will remind me if we forget. What amazed me most was that this became the natural time to talk about what's really going on in their lives. They started opening up about fears and struggles during prayer that they'd never mentioned before. It's literally changed the spiritual temperature of our home and showing my kids that talking to God matters by actually doing it has been huge.

That's really cool to hear. We're still in the eye-rolling phase with our little one, but stuff like this gives me hope that it'll click eventually.

This is awesome man. My kids went from skeptical to actually looking forward to it too, so you're definitely onto something. The consistency is what makes it stick.
