Making Easter meaningful beyond the hunt
We did the typical Easter egg hunt last weekend but I really wanted to make sure the kids understood what Easter actually means. Spent some time that evening reading the resurrection story and talking about why Jesus died and rose again. My wife made it really special by connecting it to their own lives and how Jesus loves them no matter what. These are the moments I want them to remember, not just finding plastic eggs.
How did you approach explaining the meaning? I always feel like I'm striking the balance between keeping it age appropriate but also not dumbing it down too much.
