My 7yo asked me the hardest question about God today
We were driving to school and my son asked why God lets bad things happen to good people. I froze for a second because I didn't have a perfect answer ready. Instead of giving him some canned response I just told him it's a question even grown ups struggle with and that's okay. We talked about how God is still there even when life is hard and that he can always ask me questions. Later I realized that was probably more important than getting the theology perfect. Anyone else have moments where your kids teach you about faith?
Kids ask the real questions don't they. I think the best answer is just being honest that it's a mystery we all wrestle with. Did he seem satisfied with what you said?
