My daughter asked why we believe in God and I had no good answer
So my 9yo asked me yesterday why we believe in God and what makes Christianity different from other religions. Instead of giving her a thoughtful answer I just said because that's what we believe as a family. She's smart though and I could tell she wasn't satisfied. Made me realize I need to be able to explain our faith better, not just live it by habit. We go to church, pray before meals, all that, but I haven't really taught my kids the why behind it all. Feeling convicted that I need to step up my game as the spiritual leader of this house. Any resources or advice on having these conversations with kids?
This is a tough one. I'd say don't stress too much about having it all figured out right now. These conversations happen over time, not in one sitting. Just keep showing her what your faith looks like through how you live.
