My kids actually asked to have devotional time

This morning my 7 and 9 year old asked if we could do our Bible time before breakfast instead of after. I about fell out of my chair. Been trying to lead my family in daily scripture reading and prayer for the past year and honestly some days it felt forced. But something clicked and now they're actually excited about it. Praise God for these moments. They're learning that a relationship with Jesus is what matters most.

This is the dream right here. My kids are still at the age where they'd rather sleep in than spend time on anything spiritual, so hearing this gives me hope that it clicks eventually.

That's awesome! We're seeing the same thing with our 4 month old where he actually gets excited for certain routines now. It's wild how they pick up on what matters to you.
