Biggest parenting moment of my week. Sat down with my 10 year old and tried to explain the gospel in a way he could understand. Used the example of how a parent would do anything to save their child. Talked about sacrifice and love and redemption. He's asking real questions about faith and I want to make sure I'm giving him real answers rooted in Scripture. Prayed after we talked. These conversations matter more than anything else I do as a dad.

These questions hit different when they're coming from your own kid trying to understand the world. Sounds like you handled it well by actually sitting down and engaging with it.

That's a really important conversation. I had something similar with my oldest last year and I just tried to be honest and age-appropriate. It's heavy stuff but those moments matter.
