Our church doesn't feel like it's teaching what we believe anymore

We've been at the same church for 8 years but lately the messages feel watered down and political in ways that don't align with our values. My kids are in the youth group and I'm worried about what they're picking up. Should we look for a new church? I hate the idea of disrupting their friendships there but I feel responsible for what they're learning spiritually. Anyone dealt with this?

We went through this a few years back. The hardest part wasn't finding a new church, it was leaving the friendships behind. Wishing you clarity on what's right for your family.

I totally get feeling like the message isn't aligning with your beliefs anymore. That's a big decision though. Have you explored other churches in your area yet?

This is tough because you've got 8 years of community there. Have you talked to the leadership about your concerns or are you pretty much decided on leaving?
