Our daughter wants to do soccer on Sunday mornings
Got asked yesterday if our 10 year old could join a competitive league that practices Sunday mornings. My wife and I didn't even need to discuss it much. We said no. Church is non-negotiable in our house. Kids need to see that our faith comes first, before sports, before anything else. Some of the other parents think we're crazy but we have to lead by example. What message does it send if we're shopping for our priorities at the expense of our relationship with God?
Respect for that boundary. Sunday mornings are family time for a reason. There will be plenty of other opportunities for her to play competitive soccer during the week.
