Prayer at family dinner
Started making it a point to have my kids lead prayer at dinnertime instead of always doing it myself. My 8yo literally said 'thank you God for my chicken nuggets and my dad' and I just about lost it. These moments matter. It's helping them understand that prayer isn't formal or stiff, it's just talking to God about whatever is on your heart. Small thing but it's been changing the whole tone of our meals.
This is such a cool idea. I'm gonna start doing this with my kids. There's something powerful about letting them lead it instead of just sitting there while the parent does all the talking.
How old are your kids when you started this? I'm wondering at what age it makes sense to hand that over.
