Prayer time with the kids is finally clicking

We've been trying to do family prayer for months but it felt forced and the kids weren't into it. Last week I let my 8 year old lead and he prayed for our dog's hip pain and his teacher's sick mother. Seeing him pray with that genuine love, man, it hit different. Now they're asking when we're doing it again. Feels like God is working in our home.

So glad this worked for your family. We tried the formal prayer thing and it felt super awkward too. Now we just do it naturally before meals and bedtime and it feels way more genuine.

This gives me hope. We've been forcing it for a while now and it just feels like another task on the to-do list. How long did it take before the kids actually engaged without you having to push it?
