Praying for my prodigal son

My oldest is in his second year of college and has pretty much abandoned everything we taught him about faith. He doesn't go to church, hangs around kids I'm not comfortable with, and when I bring up spiritual things he shuts down. I'm heartbroken but I'm not giving up. I pray for him every single day and I'm trusting God's plan. If any of you guys have been through this please let me know it gets better.

Man, I'm right there with you. My oldest went through something similar his freshman year and it was heartbreaking. Praying really does matter though, and sometimes they come back around when they least expect it. Hang in there.

This is such a tough season. With four kids I've learned that college is when they figure out what they actually believe vs what they were taught. Keep that door open and your faith visible - that matters more than you know right now.
