Praying for patience when my kids test me
Man, I really struggle with staying calm when the kids are acting up after a long day at work. I know I'm supposed to model Christ's patience but some days I just want to lose it. Been trying to pray before I react instead of after and it's making a difference. Anyone else battle with this? How do you keep your cool and show them what real godly patience looks like?
Here's a dad joke to lighten the mood: patience is a virtue, but impatience is my current dad superpower. Jokes aside though, three kids has taught me that some days you nail it and some days you barely survive. Grace for yourself matters too.
