Raising godly kids in a world that doesn't care about godly

Sometimes I feel like I'm fighting an uphill battle. My kids go to school and hear stuff from other kids that directly contradicts what we're teaching them at home and church. I want to protect them but I also don't want to shelter them so much they can't actually live in the world. Been trying to focus less on keeping them from the world and more on giving them a strong foundation so they can navigate it with faith. We talk through the hard stuff together and I admit when I don't have all the answers. That's been a game changer. They see their dad wrestling with faith instead of pretending to have it all figured out and I think that's actually more powerful.

This is the real struggle right there. We're doing the same thing in our house and honestly some days feel like you're losing ground. But I've noticed my kids actually do remember what we taught them when it matters most, even if they roll their eyes at dinner.

Man, I feel this. My kids come home with stuff from school that makes me question everything too. I've learned it's less about shielding them and more about giving them the tools to think for themselves about what matters. Stay consistent with your message at home and they'll find their way.
