Raising godly kids in a world that wants the opposite

My oldest is 14 and the pressure from school and friends to compromise is insane. I want to give her freedom but also protect her values. We pray about it, we talk through scenarios, we try to stay connected. But man some days I feel like I'm fighting against everything else she's exposed to. Anyone else feel like they're losing this battle sometimes? I know faith is the answer but in the moment when she's asking me why she can't do what everyone else does... I don't always have the right words. Just trying to stay the course and trust God has this.

The balance between freedom and protection is the hardest part. Sounds like you're doing it right by staying connected through prayer and real talk.

14 is such a tough age for this. Keep that communication open and let her know her values matter to you too. Road trip conversations have saved us more than once with ours.
