Raising kids to stand firm in their faith at school

My daughter is starting middle school soon and I'm nervous. She's a solid Christian kid but I know she's going to face pressure to fit in and hide her faith. I don't want to make her weird or a target but I also want her confident in who she is as a believer. Anyone dealt with this transition? How do you balance letting them find their own way while still being the anchor they need?
