Raising kids who actually want to go to church

We go every Sunday but honestly it feels like we're dragging our two oldest. My wife and I are trying to show them that faith is important but they'd rather sleep in or play video games. Not trying to force them into fake faith but also want them to understand why we believe what we believe. Any dads figured out how to make church relevant to kids without being the guy trying too hard to be cool? We do family devotions at home too but sometimes I wonder if we're doing enough.

This is real. My kids go but they're on their phones or zoning out half the time. We've tried letting them pick the music we listen to on the way there, making it more about community than just showing up. Slow progress.
What if you involved them in picking a cause the church supports and let them actually participate in helping, not just sitting? Sometimes kids connect better when they're doing something tangible.
