Setting boundaries on screen time - faith perspective?
Been thinking about how much time my kids spend on tablets and phones. I feel like as the spiritual leader of my home I should have conviction about this but honestly I use screens to get peace and quiet too. Trying to be honest about my own struggle here. I want to teach them that our bodies and minds are temples but I'm not walking that walk perfectly. Started cutting my own screen time this week. Wondering if anyone else is wrestling with this as a faith issue not just a parenting issue.
Set it and enforce it. Yeah they'll complain but kids actually want boundaries even if they say they don't. Make screen time a privilege they earn, not something that's always available.
