Started a nightly prayer routine with the family and it's changing us
A few months ago I felt convicted that we weren't being intentional about praying as a family. So we started gathering around the dinner table before bed and each person shares something they're thankful for and something they want prayer about. It's simple but man, it's opened up conversations I never expected. My 10yo shared something that was clearly weighing on him, and it gave me a chance to pray with him and support him. My wife and I have reconnected spiritually too. If you're not doing this, I really encourage you to start.
Right there with you. Started doing this a couple months back and my kids actually look forward to it now instead of seeing it as a chore. The changes in how they talk to each other have been noticeable.
