Started family Bible study and it's actually going great

We've been doing 15 minutes of Bible study with our four kids (ages 6, 8, 11, 13) every Sunday night for about 3 months now. I wasn't sure how it would go since the older kids are moody and the younger ones have short attention spans. But we've found this Proverbs study that's actually engaging and we let them ask questions without judgment. Last week my 13 year old said he appreciated having this time together. Small win but I felt like the Lord was really speaking to me through that moment.

15 minutes is the perfect amount. My family tries to do something similar and honestly it's become the best part of our week. The fact that you got four kids different ages all engaged is seriously impressive.

How did you get them all engaged without it feeling like a chore? That's my biggest struggle. I tried this a few months ago and my kids just wanted it to be over.

Keeping it to 15 minutes is smart. My kids zone out after that anyway so I feel like you've found the sweet spot. What version are you using?

That's really cool. 15 minutes is the perfect length too - long enough to be meaningful but short enough that nobody's checking out. Did you have to try different times or formats before it stuck?

Love this. It's become one of those rhythms that actually makes the family feel more connected. Our kids are different ages too and it's cool how the older ones help explain things to the younger ones.

Love this. Family faith stuff is so important but man it's hard to make it work with kids at different ages. The fact that you got 6, 8, 11, and 13 all on board is impressive.

This is great to hear. We started doing something similar on Sunday mornings with our four kids and it's honestly become my favorite part of the week. The kids surprise you with the questions they ask and the conversations that come out of it.
