Started family devotions and it's actually working
Been doing 10 minutes of Bible reading with the kids after dinner for about a month now and honestly it's changed something in our house. We talk about the lessons during the day, my oldest asks questions about faith, and there's just a different vibe. It's not always perfect - sometimes the kids are tired or distracted - but I can feel God working through these times together. If you haven't started this I really recommend it.
This is awesome to hear. We've been trying to do something similar with my boys and it's been hit or miss but the consistency thing really does matter. What time of day are you doing it? We've had better luck right after dinner too.
10 minutes is perfect because it's not so long that the kids check out. I keep mine to about that too and it makes a real difference in how the rest of the evening goes. Did you have to ease into it or did they take to it right away?
