Struggling to be the spiritual leader my family needs
Guys I'm being real here. I tell my kids to pray before bed and read their Bible but I'm sitting there scrolling my phone during our family devotion time. How can I expect them to take faith seriously when I'm not modeling it? Started waking up 30 mins earlier to pray and read scripture before work. It's hard but I realize my kids are watching how I live, not just what I say. Anyone else wrestle with this?
Started going to a small men's group at church specifically because I was feeling this exact thing. Turns out a lot of dads feel like frauds when it comes to faith leadership. Might be worth finding community around it.
