Struggling to be the spiritual leader my family needs
Been a Christian for 15 years but lately I feel like I'm just going through the motions with my kids. I read Bible stories at bedtime but I'm not really connecting the dots to our daily life. My wife mentioned she wishes I'd pray with the family more instead of just saying grace before meals. She's right. I want my kids to see faith as real and alive, not just something we do on Sundays. Started a morning prayer with my oldest this week and it's already making a difference. Anyone else struggle with this?
I get this so much. After my second kid was born I felt like I was just on autopilot with everything spiritual. What helped me was asking my kids questions instead of just telling them stuff. Like actually listening to what they think about faith instead of preaching.
