Struggling to lead by example with my temper

Had a rough day at work and when I got home the kids were being loud and fighting. I lost it. Started yelling and I could see the fear in their eyes. Wife looked at me like I know she does when I'm not being the man I want to be. Been praying about this but man it's hard. I told them I was sorry and we talked about how I need to handle my anger better. Trying to be more Christ-like but some days it really tests me. Anyone else struggle with this?

I'm running on fumes most days with a newborn so I get how the patience just disappears, but yeah talking to them about it afterward makes a real difference.
