Struggling to lead family devotions, any advice?
I know I should be the spiritual leader in my home and I want to start doing family devotions but every time I try it feels awkward and forced. My kids are 5, 8, and 11. I don't want to be that dad who just reads a passage and calls it good. How do you guys make it meaningful without being preachy? Looking for real suggestions here.
I've been wanting to start something like this too but honestly it feels intimidating. Like I want it to feel natural not forced, you know? What kind of stuff are you thinking of doing?
The pressure to be the spiritual leader can be heavy. Remember you don't have to have it all figured out. Your kids will respect you more for being honest about your own faith journey than pretending to have all the answers.
