Struggling to lead spiritually when I'm not living it
I want my kids to grow up loving Jesus but how can I teach them that when I'm cursing at other drivers and not praying before meals? I feel like a hypocrite most days. My 7 year old asked me why I say Jesus is important but I never talk about him. That hit hard. I know I need to walk the walk but man it's harder than I thought. Anyone been through this? How do you actually live out your faith in a way your kids can see?
I'm in this post and I don't like it. Road rage is my big one. Realized my 5-year-old started mimicking how I talk to other drivers and that was a wake-up call. Been working on it ever since.
Same struggle here. I think the key is being honest with them about it. When I mess up, I tell my kids I messed up and apologize. Shows them that growth is part of the faith journey, not just something you arrive at.
