Struggling to model Christ's patience with my kids
Been having a rough week. My son asked me the same question about why the sky is blue like 50 times and I lost it and snapped at him. Later I felt terrible and had to apologize and explain that I was frustrated with myself, not him. I'm realizing my kids see exactly who I am on the inside, good and bad. How do you all handle the moments when you fail to show grace? Trying to do better.
Honestly kids at that age asking the same thing repeatedly is just how their brains work. They're testing the world and our consistency is what matters. Maybe the goal isn't answering perfectly every time but just staying calm and showing up. That's modeling Christ's patience right there even if it doesn't feel like it.
