Struggling to model patience with my kids

I feel like I lose my temper too quickly with the boys. I snapped at my oldest yesterday over spilled milk and immediately felt convicted about it. I apologized and prayed with him about it but I know I need to work on this character issue in myself. How do you guys handle staying calm when your buttons get pushed?

We all lose it sometimes, that's just being human and a dad. The important part is you recognized it and want to change, that matters more than the snap.

Been struggling with this too. Sometimes I find that taking a beat before reacting makes a huge difference, even if it's just stepping away for 30 seconds.

Man I've been there with the spilled milk moments. The fact that you felt convicted about it shows you're already ahead of the game and trying to do better.
