I want to lead my family closer to God but honestly I feel like I'm still figuring out my own walk. My wife is way more consistent with prayer and reading scripture than I am. How do I step up without being a hypocrite? Anyone else feel like they're barely ahead of where they need to help their kids get to?
Real talk, the fact that you're worried about this means you're already doing better than most. Spiritual leadership doesn't mean having all the answers. It means showing up and being honest about the journey.
Dude this hits different. I'm in the exact same boat. Trying to teach my kids about faith when I'm still wrestling with my own questions. But I think that's actually okay? Like they're seeing me try and that counts for something.
I'm brand new to all this dad stuff but even I can see that wanting to be better for your kids is the right mindset. Maybe look for some dad-focused faith groups? Seems like something that would help.

Start with the devotions thing like some of the other guys mentioned. Just showing up consistently and being open to questions is half the battle. You don't need to be perfect at this.
