Teaching kids about generosity

Been working with my kids on understanding that everything we have is a blessing from the Lord. We're talking about giving our tithe at church and being generous to those in need. My daughter asked if we could sponsor a child and honestly it hit me hard in the best way. So proud of the heart God is developing in her. Anyone else doing something similar with their kids?

This is something I want to start doing with my son as he grows. At 6 weeks old he's mostly just taking from us, but I like hearing how you're framing it as a family blessing.

Teaching generosity at this age is huge. My boys are getting there with understanding that helping others feels good, even if they don't fully grasp the spiritual side yet.

That's awesome you're tackling this young. We do something similar with our kids and pizza nights - it's easier to talk about giving back when they see it in action at home too.
