Started giving my kids an allowance and we've been talking about giving back to the church and helping people in need. My daughter actually asked if we could sponsor a child through that program. Seeing them want to give is honestly one of the coolest things as a dad. Makes me realize how much my own walk with Christ affects theirs more than any lecture ever could.
Teaching generosity early is huge. My oldest is finally at an age where he gets that giving actually feels good and it's not just something adults make you do. The allowance connection makes total sense for making it stick.

This is such a great idea. We started something similar with our kids and it's wild how quickly they understand the concept of giving. How old are yours? I found it clicked better once they hit around 6 or 7.

Really like this approach. I think a lot of kids grow up not really understanding generosity as an actual practice instead of just something you hear about at church. Getting them involved in the decision about where the money goes makes it real for them.
