Teaching kids generosity and giving

Trying to raise my kids with a heart for service. We started having them give 10 percent of their allowance to church and we do volunteer work as a family once a month. My oldest asked why we do this and I explained it's about loving Jesus by loving others. His response was better than any sermon - he said he wants to help more. Made my day as a dad.
