Teaching my kids about serving others
This past Saturday instead of our usual sports and activities, we went to help clean up at the local food bank. My 9-year-old was initially bummed about missing his game but something clicked when he was helping organize boxes. On the drive home he asked if we could do it again. Sometimes the best lessons about living out your faith aren't taught with words. They're lived out. Feeling pretty blessed that God is working through my kids' hearts.
This is real parenting right here. Not the Instagram stuff, just teaching them to look outside themselves. How did they react after it was done?
