Teaching my kids to pray but they just want to ask for stuff

We're doing bedtime prayers with the kids and every single night my daughter just lists toys and candy. Tonight I tried to redirect her to thank God for what we have instead. She said "but I already have those things." I guess she's technically not wrong? Anyway we're trying to build the habit of gratitude before requests but man it's a process. Any tips on this age group?
