Teaching my son to tithe from his allowance

Started giving my 8 year old a weekly allowance and wanted him to understand giving back to God. We sat down and talked about why we give, and now he puts a portion in an envelope for church. It's been cool watching him get excited about it. He actually said yesterday 'Dad I want to give more because God gave us so much.' These moments remind me why leading by example matters so much. It's not about the money, it's about planting seeds.

This is really cool. I haven't gotten to this stage yet with my little one, but I'm definitely filing this away for when she's older. Thanks for sharing how you're doing it.

That's awesome you're teaching him that at such a young age. We started doing something similar and it really stuck with our kids. Makes them think about giving in a way that's tangible instead of just abstract.

Love this approach. With our two, teaching them about money and values together has been one of the best parts of parenting. Sounds like your son is already getting it, which is a win.
