Teen daughter questioning everything about faith - worried but trying to respect her journey
She's 16 and suddenly all the stuff she grew up with is too simplistic or doesn't make sense. Part of me wants to shut it down but another part knows I can't force belief. We talk about it and I try to answer honestly instead of just saying "that's what the Bible says." I'm praying a lot more than usual. Any dads been through this phase with their kids?
Respecting her journey is the right call. Pushing back usually just makes them dig in harder. She might come back around to faith later or she might not but either way she needs to know you love her.
