Trying to lead by example but feeling like a hypocrite

I tell my kids to be kind, honest, patient. Then I lose my temper in traffic and yell at other drivers. My 8yo called me out on it last week and I felt so ashamed. I know kids learn more from what we do than what we say but man it's hard to actually live it out. I'm trying to be better but some days I feel like a total fraud. Anyone else struggle with this gap between what they preach and what they practice?
