Trying to walk the walk not just talk the talk
Been thinking a lot about how my kids are watching everything I do. I can tell them to be honest but if I lie to get out of stuff they notice. I can tell them Jesus teaches generosity but if I'm stingy with my time and money they see through it. I've been trying to be more intentional about practicing what I preach, especially the hard stuff like loving my enemies, being patient, admitting when I'm wrong to my kids. It's harder than I thought but I think they're starting to understand faith isn't just Sunday morning, it's how you live every single day.
This hits different when you become a parent. My kids catch every contradiction. It's made me way more intentional about actually living by what I preach.
