Walking the walk is killing me this week
Had to apologize to my kids for blowing up at them yesterday over something stupid. Lost my temper, yelled, the whole thing. Then I'm supposed to teach them about patience and self control? I felt like such a hypocrite. Sat them down, told them I was wrong, asked for forgiveness, explained that being a Christian doesn't mean being perfect it means trying again. My oldest said thank you for showing us what repentance looks like. Man that hit different. Grace is real.
This is the hardest part of the faith and family thing for me too. You want to be this perfect example but you're human and you lose it sometimes. The apology part is actually where the real teaching happens though.
