Walking the walk when nobody's watching
Got cut off in traffic this morning and my first instinct was to lay on the horn and say some things I shouldn't. Then I remembered my oldest is in the back seat watching how I handle frustration. I took a breath, let it go, and just prayed for whoever cut me off instead. Felt weird at first but the peace I had the rest of the day was worth it. How many times do our kids learn what we actually believe by what we do when we're stressed or angry? That hit me hard today.
At 4 months old my guy doesn't understand road rage yet, but this hits different knowing that's coming. Props for catching yourself and modeling what actually matters.
