Why is it so hard to pray with your family?

Seriously. I want to be a man of prayer. I want my kids to see me on my knees. But then dinner time comes and I'm exhausted and we just shovel food in our faces. My wife keeps reminding me that we need family prayer time but we keep dropping the ball. Anyone else struggle with actually making this happen consistently?
