Wife wants kids in public school, I'm worried about the influence
This has been a point of tension between us. I worry about what our kids are being taught and what kind of kids they're around. Wife thinks we're overprotecting them and that public school is good for them to be around different perspectives. She's not wrong that we can't bubble them forever. But I also feel like it's my responsibility to guard their hearts and minds. We're trying to find middle ground with tutoring and youth group and intentional friendships but man this is tough. Anyone else wrestling with this decision?
This is such a tough spot, man. My wife and I had similar concerns when our oldest started kindergarten in Portland. We ended up doing some compromise stuff like being really involved at the school and knowing the teachers. Maybe that's worth exploring with your wife?
