Finally invested in a decent espresso machine and now I'm that guy making fancy drinks at 6am before the kids wake up. My wife thinks I'm crazy but those 10 minutes of peace with a perfect cappuccino is worth every penny.
Finally someone else who gets it. I'm up at 5:30 making espresso before the kids wake up and those 20 minutes of peace with a good cup is like therapy.
The fancy coffee thing is real. I don't even go out for coffee anymore because I've gotten spoiled making it at home.
What machine did you go with? I've been eyeing some options but don't want to drop cash on something I'll stop using after the novelty wears off.

6am fancy drinks sounds like heaven to me. By the time my kids are up I'm already three cups deep and switching to cold brew just to pace myself.

I did the same thing last year and now I'm the espresso guy too. My kids think it's hilarious watching me make latte art at 5:30am. Fair warning though, the machine becomes your personality pretty quick.
