Finally got the kids down at 8:30 and my wife went to bed like 10 mins ago. Here I am at 1 AM watching some cooking show I don't even care about because I'm too tired to move. This is my life now I guess.

You're gonna feel that 1 AM decision at 6 AM when someone's asking for breakfast. But I totally get it. The post-bedtime hours are sacred. Just maybe try to limit it to weekends?
This is real dad life. You get about 2-3 hours of actual peace and quiet so you stay up way too late because you know it's the only time the world isn't demanding something from you. Can't waste it sleeping.

1 AM? Those are rookie numbers. I've been riding the midnight to 2 AM zone for months now. It's the only quiet time I get and honestly sometimes I need it just to feel like myself and not just a dad.
Yep, currently binge watching with my dog while sitting in the dark like some kind of night creature. The dog doesn't judge my 1 AM habits at least.
