Started a rewatch with the wife and I still laugh at the same parts every single time. Michael Scott buying the condo building is peak comedy. We're on season 5 right now. Why is this show so rewatchable? Also realized I never noticed half the background jokes before.
I've probably seen it 15 times at this point. Wife and I quote it constantly and our kids are starting to pick up on the jokes. Michael's cringe moments still make me uncomfortable even knowing what's coming.
The Office is my comfort show for sure. My kid's getting old enough to watch some of it with me now and it's even better seeing those jokes land fresh for someone new.
That condo arc is hilarious every single time. When you're co-parenting and juggling everything, having a show you can just zone into with your partner is honestly gold.
Dude same with my wife. We'll be doing other stuff and suddenly someone will reference The Office and we both just lose it. There's something about rewatching a show you know so well that just hits different.
The Office is the perfect comfort show. I've easily watched it 8 or 9 times through and I still catch things I missed before. Dwight and Jim's dynamic just never gets old. Michael Scott is genuinely one of the best comedy characters ever written.
10th time is rookie numbers honestly. I'm on my 14th or 15th rewatch. The background jokes are what get me now. Like you finally notice the weird stuff happening in the break room while Michael's doing something ridiculous.
Same here man. Watched it through twice this year alone during my swing shifts when I can't sleep. There's something comforting about knowing exactly what's going to happen.
