Anyone else get weirdly invested in their lawn?

I'm turning into my dad and I'm only 34. Spent all morning analyzing why my grass is patchy and just ordered new seed and some fancy soil test kit. My wife thinks I'm insane. When did lawn care become interesting to me? Send help.

The patchy grass thing usually means watering schedule or soil compaction. Have you tested your soil? I got weirdly into that stuff too and honestly it's not the worst hobby for a dad.

Welcome to the club. I'm 36 and have full conversations about soil quality now. My kids don't understand why I care so much about the lawn but someday they will. It's meditation.

Haha you're becoming your dad is the most honest thing about parenthood. I catch myself doing the exact same thing and I'm like wait, when did this happen? Lawn care is weirdly satisfying though.
