Anyone else hate yard work?

Spring is here and my lawn is a mess. I know I should mow and edge and do whatever else normal homeowners do but I just can't get motivated. Do I need to hire someone or am I just being lazy? Kids are getting to the age where they could probably help but I don't want to torture them with yard work on weekends.

You're not alone. The mowing, edging, trimming, weeding... it never ends. I started just focusing on keeping the front presentable and letting the back be whatever it wants to be.

Hate is a strong word but yeah, spring yard work is the worst. I usually end up procrastinating until it gets so bad I can't ignore it anymore.

Get the kids involved and make it a thing. My 7yo actually likes helping me now. We race to see who can pull the most weeds. Turns work into a game.
