Anyone else's grill break right before summer?

So my Weber just completely gave up the ghost last weekend. Won't heat up past 300 degrees no matter what I do. I've got a big family cookout planned for July 4th and now I'm scrambling to figure out if I should repair it or just bite the bullet and get a new one. Has anyone dealt with this? Is it even worth getting these things serviced or am I better off starting fresh?

Dude, I feel this in my soul. Everything breaking at the worst possible time is like the official dad experience. At least you've got a solid excuse to upgrade to something nicer?

Oh man, that's rough timing. Have you tried cleaning out the burners and venturi tubes? Mine started acting weird a few months back and that fixed it. If it's truly dead though, fingers crossed you can grab a replacement before the cookout.

Why did the grill break right before summer? Because it wanted to make your cookout plans well-done. But seriously, that stinks. Can you borrow a neighbor's or rent one for the day?
