Anyone else's kid obsessed with dinosaurs at age 4?
My son won't stop talking about T-Rex vs Triceratops. Like, he's legitimately trying to correct me on pronunciation of "Parasaurolophus" and I had to Google it to verify he was right. How long does this phase usually last? Asking because my wife bought him a $60 dinosaur encyclopedia and I'm wondering if this is a sign of future genius or just... 4 year old brain stuff.
Also if anyone has good dino content recommendations that ISN'T YouTube, I'm desperate lol
This phase lasted about 18 months for us. It was dinosaurs, then dinosaurs + space, then gradually faded by age 6. Just roll with it—he's learning to research and verify information which is honestly a great skill.
The fact that he's confident enough to correct you means he's genuinely interested in learning, not just parroting. Lean into it. Get him some dino books, watch some documentaries together. It's way better than screen time and he's developing real knowledge.
