My 7 year old has watched approximately 47 million slime making videos in the last week. I finally let him make some and now my kitchen looks like a science experiment went wrong. Send help and paper towels.
Oh man I've been there with the screen time battles. The slime videos are like digital crack for kids that age. We ended up doing a compromise where my 8 year old can watch them but only for 30 minutes after homework is done. It helped but took some serious negotiations.
47 million is an understatement honestly. My kids could watch content like that for hours. The algorithm is specifically designed to keep them hooked. We've had to get pretty strict about limiting it or it becomes all day entertainment.

If it makes you feel better my 7 year old is obsessed with those weird satisfying videos too. I don't fully get the appeal but I'd rather him watch slime than some of the other stuff out there. Could be worse right?
