Anyone else's kids addicted to Roblox?

My 9 year old will literally play Roblox for 8 hours straight if I let him. He's watching YouTube videos of other people playing Roblox when he's not playing it himself. Is this normal? Should I be worried? He says all his friends play it. I don't understand the appeal but apparently you can spend real money on fake clothes for your avatar. Hard pass from me but he's desperate to get some limited edition shirt or something.

8 hours is rough man. I finally had to set a timer on our router. My kids were getting headaches from staring at screens all day. Now they get 2 hours on weekdays and can earn extra time with chores.
What game is he playing? My son got bored with the popular ones after a few months. Might help to switch it up instead of just cutting him off cold turkey.
